AZCO has a print [option], seal and cut to length unit which provides the ability to make and print premade pouches on demand.
The advantage is reduced inventory; you only need to stock base rolls. On demand you can make and label the pouches that are needed for production for that day, week or month. This eliminates the problem of inventory control in a controlled environment along with overstocking or not having the pouches if demand changes. Since you are working with base printed rolls your unit and labor costs will be less. Not to mention having obsolete or dated inventory.
The material is fed off a basic unwind. An unwind is best used in applications with constant motion and/or gradual accelerations and decelerations. From the unwind we offer an optional thermal printer. The printer is ideal for lot, date and product information. Standard print color is black. The material travels from the optional printer to the heat sealing station. The heat sealing station is a module that will allow the seal to be anywhere on the product. The unit has a temperature controller to maintain constant seal temperatures. The material is pulled through the sealing station and fed into the guillotine by the rollers.
