Requirements:

This application required feeding and cutting release liner material. The cut product needed to exit the unit in such a way that eliminated the need for an operator to remove the trailing edges of the material that was left in the machine.

Our Solution:

AZCO designed and manufactured a cut-to-length unit with dancer unwind and 45-degree angled baseplate.

Material is loaded onto a cantilevered design dancer unwind.
Precision ground urethane drive rollers advance the material.
Top idler roller is pneumatically pre-loaded.
An internal guide directs the material from the drive rollers into the knife assembly.
The cut-to-length unit is PLC controlled.
An operator control panel is provided which includes an HMI color touch screen for easy setup and operation of the unit.
Control panel requires 110 VAC.
A one-shot cable is provided allowing the unit to be operated in automatic or manual modes.
Unit is placed on a baseplate at a 45-degree angle, allowing the cut product to fall from the unit.
